The B5Media network:

Farewell, Supernatural Scoop

It is with deep sadness that I announce that Supernatural Scoop is closing. I’ve had a great time working with b5media, for the past year. Times being as they are, however, they’ve had to make the tough decision to close a few blogs.

I will continue covering Supernatural at a new location, Supernatural Watch. I love this show, and think that, while it must fit within the usual marketable television bounds, the excellent creative staff and cast continue to go beyond safe, bringing a superior show to an appreciative audience. I have always, and remain, part of that audience. So, be sure to come visit Supernatural Watch for more updates on the show and the people involved.

b5media will continue to have coverage of Supernatural on other remaining sites including on SF Universe.

I will also continue performing Irish Music, and you can catch up with me at my site and blog on jonathanramsey.com.

Thanks to all the great Supernatural Scoop community. All my best to all the great people that have come into my life, thanks to this blog and the show. All my best to you!

Cheers!

Jonathan

Supernatural Season Four Spoilers in a Post-Comic-Con World

Supernatural Season Four Spoilers in a Post-Comic-Con World

When Eric Kripke appeared with Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki at Comic-Con, fans sat on the edges of their seats. Kripke, though, was his usual cryptic self, leaking more teasers than wholesome spoilers for Season Four.
One nice touch for X-Files fans, Mitch Pileggi will show up as Mary Winchester’s father. Of course, it would be an interesting coincidence if Sam and Dean showed up to a mystery and meet Mulder and Scully. In a universe that holds both duos, it would almost need to happen, and they would be a lot more helpful than Bela ever was.

Mr Beaks Talks with “Friday the 13th” Producers

Mr Beaks Talks with “Friday the 13th” Producers

After viewing the trailer shown at last week’s Comic-Con, Mr. Beaks, over at Ain’t It Cool, had a discussion with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, about upcoming movie Friday the 13th. They had some interesting things to say about the film, the lore, the rumors, and more. Naturally, as a fan of the original movie, and a fan of Jared Padalecki, I have an interst in this movie.
Of course, they address one of the biggest surprises of the trailer, the fast moving Jason Voorhees. The lumbering giant of the first go-round, found his fast-twitch fibers in this remake. That …read more

Supernatural Summer 2008: Big and Controversial Coming Up

Supernatural Summer 2008: Big and Controversial Coming Up

This Thursday, Supernatural is a repeat of episode Jus in Bello. This big turning point in the story of the show pits the boys against not only Agent Henriksen, but against an army of Lilith followers. Sam and Dean Winchester, as well as Ruby, really have their hands full. This is a very intense episode, if for some horrible reason, you missed it.
Here are some Jus in Bello tidbits, I covered, while the stuff was going down, in Season 2.

Jus in Bello recap.

Supernatural up for Sourcies 2008: Favorite Return Appearance

Supernatural up for Sourcies 2008: Favorite Return Appearance

Supernatural has had numerous return appearances in it’s past three seasons. Most of them have been incredibly satisfying, bringing back favorites, like John Winchester and Mary Winchester, as well as fellow hunters. Then, there is the return of the misguided “ghose hunters”, Harry Spangler and Ed Zeddmore, when they take their antics up a notch with a team, in their new show pilot Ghostfacers. Of course, there have been some returning demons, and, naturally, some not-so-welcome federal agents and hunter returns, like Agent Henriksen and the obsessive Gordon.
