Supernatural Episode 3.11 – Jus In Bello

If the networks and studios don’t work something out with the WGA –perhaps, even if they do- Thursday, January 17 could be the last episode for Supernatural Season Three.
Let’s hope for some reason, soon. There’s not a lot of time to complete the writing, and the production of even a couple more episodes of any of our favorite hour-long evening scripted television shows. If things don’t turn around soon, all the good ideas are going into Supernatural Season Four.
So, call your network exec friends, and tell them to follow David Letterman’s lead.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Supernatural’s John Winchester, and his Rottweiler, Bisou, spent some time with The New York Post’s Julia Szabo.
From the interview:

Morgan rescued Bisou as a two-day-old puppy.
The Man/Dog pair share a weekly steak habit.
Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes is working on a TV opportunity just for Morgan.
Bisou spends a lot of time on sets with Morgan, and has learned to work it with the kraft van.

Episode 3.13: Mystery Spot (unconfirmed)

According to Eric Kripke, this is to be like Groundhog Day.
Sam relives the same Tuesday over and over.
Dean dies at the end of every day, in a different way.
According to Kripke, it’s actually quite funny.

Please, TV execs! Give the writers a deal, and make this happen.

Episode 3.11: Jus In Bello
Airdate: January 17, 2008

FBI Agent Henriksen captures Sam and Dean in a small town in Colorado.
Henrikson takes over the police station to hold Sam and Dean, shackled together, in a cell.
He lets another less dangerous detainee go.
Body-snatching demons attack the police station, killing Henriksen’s partner and several policemen.
Henrikson believes the demon attack was really part of a plot to break Sam and Dean out of jail, and was carried out by friends of theirs.
Henrikson won’t believe Sam and Dean, who tell him that the attack was by demons.

Episode 3.10: Dream A Little Dream Of Me
Airdate: February 7, 2008

College professor Dr. Gregg dies mysteriously.
Dr. Gregg had been conducting a sleep study, testing a sleep disorder treatment.
Dean poses as a detective, interviewing students and faculty at the college.
Jeremy, a stoner student, tells Dean that he no longer dreams, a result of one session sleeping under Dr. Gregg’s drug. The treatment gave him a super-intense, trip-like dream
Sam, Dean, and Bobby get trapped inside their dreams, facing their biggest fears.
The three determine that Jeremy is responsible for their dream, possibly dream-walking between each others’ dreams. He, apparently, has the ability to …read more

Episode 3.09: Witch Hunt
Airdate: January 31, 2008

Amanda, a member of a secret, neighborhood coven of witches –ah, those burbs- apparently kills the wife of the man she wants, then, takes her own life.
Amanda’s neighborhood witch group continues to meet without her.
Sam and Dean pose as detectives and visit the other members of the coven.
One member, Elizabeth, acts surprised when Sam and Dean tell her about Amanda’s “occult” practices.
The boys figure out that another member, Tammi, is a demon.
Tammi puts a spell on Dean to kill him –slowly, of course, sinces such is the true evil villain way.

If, during this holiday break, you miss the action and adventure of new episodes of Supernatural, you can get your kicks with The Devil’s Gate, the online arcade game.
You’re not going to get a workout, like Boxing on the Wii, nor are you going to feel the challenge of Resident Evil 4. It’s also unlikely to inspire a “video games incite violence” witch hunt. Alas, it is mindless fun.

Sam and Dean Winchester: Resolutions.

It’s the end of the year again, and having made it through a gory Christmas, the boys must now consider their New Year’s resolutions.

Save Dean… but don’t let him know.
Hunt down all those pesky demons we let out.

Dean

Enjoy every sandwich.
Ummm… women.
Teach Sam how to drive. HAHA!
Teach Sam to maintain the Impala.

Hooray for David Letterman! Though many scripted TV dramas and sitcoms may end the season in chaos, perpetual reruns, or replacement by reality tv, the deal struck between David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants and the WGA is a ray of hope in this strike-sick season. The agreement will hopefully lead to more smaller production companies making their own independent agreements with their writers.
