Comic “Supernatural: Rising Son” to Hit Stands in April

After the phenomenal success of the comic series Supernatural: Origins, fans can now look forward to new series, Supernatural: Rising Son, coming April 23. The new comic tells the story of young Dean Winchester at 11, and brother, Sam Winchester, 7. As fans of the Supernatural TV series know, this puts them in the passenger seats of the ‘67 Impala, riding with dad, John Winchester.

Supernatural Role Playing Game Book Available February 20

Supernatural and role playing game lovers will soon rejoice. The Supernatural Role Playing Game core rule book and guide will be out in a few short weeks.
February 20, New York Times writer, Margaret Weis, and her Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd. will release the title, developed by Supernatural fan, Jamie Chambers. Mr. Chambers, who professes to be a huge fan of Supernatural since the pilot episode, also created the RPG for Serenity. The game utilizes the Cortex system developed for the Serenity RPG.

CW Expresses Support for “Supernatural”

Paul Maguire, Executive Vice President of Network Communications at The CW, expressed the network’s support for Supernatural to our Sci-Fi writer friend at About.com, Mark Wilson. [He'll say he's never heard of me, but, just humor him.]
Mr. Wilson wrote the network, asking them to make a statement about the move to remove Supernatural from the line-up to help gain exposure for sister show Reaper.

With the writers’ strike still in full swing, Supernatural is due to hit its Subnatural end of completed episodes on February 21, 2008. While the show is not canceled, it goes on hiatus, while The CW plays around for the benefit of other shows’ ratings.

Directors, Producers Strike Deal: Writers Next?

Just 27 seconds ago –more or less- the Directors Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers tentatively agreed to a three year contract. The agreement, covering the same sorts of issues that have caused the Writers Guild of America strike, including royalties for internet revenues, is groundbreaking. Tomorrow night, The CW an “encore presentation” of Episode Red Sky at Morning.
Next week, on Thursday January 31, Supernatural airs its first new episode of the year, 3.09, alternatively titled Witch Hunt on several sites and Malleus Maleficarum in a couple places on The CW website.

With the end of new Supernatural episodes drawing near, The CW has already announced that they will put the show on hiatus to help Reaper, and other new fare.
Supernatural fans want NONE of that! While Erik Kripke and his team of daredevil promoters may be doing what they can to keep Supernatural on the air, the show’s fans, like Team Winchester.com, have taken it up a notch with online petitions to air Supernatural reruns.
