Jensen Ackles Interview with TV Week in Australia
On his recent trip to Australia, Jensen Ackles spoke to TV Week.
Try to keep your demeanor, but the cheeky interviewer spends a bit of time seemingly trying to talk Jensen Ackles into taking his shirt off on the show. Well, there is plenty of talk. That would be too much like his days as Eric on Days of Our Lives.
He talks, too, about the woman in his life, as well as the “girls who follow him around”, that he claims never to see, and the nightmares he no longer has. And the other rumors, oi!

Aww, great interview. Jensen is so funny — even on paper. I like the fact that the interviewer was pushing the shirtless angle. We definitely need more than 1 shirtless episode a season.
Wow, they actually asked a question of mine that i’ve been wondering for, like, forever. i always thought Dean was a bit like Rusty from “Ocean’s 11/12/etc.” He’s always eating something! I wanted to know if he actually swallowed or spit it out. And if he had to keep to some sort of special diet and exercise to keep it up the character trait.
And i think Sam is funnier when he’s trying to be all serious and stern with Dean… Like in that one episode (can’t remember the name darn-it) where Dean can’t go outside b/c he’s a fugitive and he’s asking Sam for quarters for the “magic fingers” bed in the hotel room and Sam all like, “Dude, i am not enabling your sick habit. You’re like one of those lab rats that pushed the pleasure button instead of the food button until it dies.” That had me in stitches for a very long time. My mom too. (We watch it together. Go over to the parents for dinner and show. ^_^)
Anyway, Jensen, if you ever do feel like settling down and getting married i’m sure there are plenty of your fans that’ll support you all the way and be happy for you. Myself included.

The interview was very funny i like that Jensen is now more open whit his fans and talk about is personal life!!! Jensen you have a great protectives and truely fans and we love you so but so much so please not get married yet!!! But we do whant you to be happy with the woman you love some day^,^

We all love and adore Jensen and i am sure we all want the best for him and hes future and if marrage is hes answer to his future happiest then so be it! Still always and forever a true fan forever!
Some very good points in that article. Glad in particular to see someone intelligently mention the importance of the straight man to a comedy duo. Timing is all, whether you’re getting the laughs or facilitating them.
The WB/CW lucked out with Jared and Jensen; I’ve rarely ever seen two performers, let alone such young ones, mesh so perfectly. Drama, comedy, the men complement each other with a skill and naturalness usually only found in longtime performing partners as the ones he mentioned in the article.
SPN will eventually come to an end. I would gladly pay money to see these two on the big screen, in a variety of roles opposite the other. They can both pretty much do it all, and you can’t buy or manufacture chemistry like they have. There used to be a great deal more of it in the movies, but the studios no longer develop talent in the same way. Finds like the SPN men are as a result much rarer and even more sorely needed.
It was of great interest reading about Jensen’s Dean-as-hearty-eater tribulations (TWoP had a comment on it once; they guessed the “commercial” solution, but we now have it from the man who knows best).
There WAS one quote which gave me pause, though.
“And who knows? Dean’s a promiscuous kind of guy. Who knows how he drums up the funds that they use?”
Oy, Jensen. *facepalms* I’ll move along with a vexed and Dean-positive “DUDE!!!”
