Supernatural Season Three Close and A Little Talk About Lilith

In episode 3.13, Jus in Bello, we met Lilith, the new big bad in the Supernatural-verse. What we saw wasn’t pretty, especially since Kripke and friends pulled the old “pretty but creepy little girl” card, putting Lilith in the form of a sweet-looking lass. Unfortunately for all the boys nice new friends in local and federal law enforcement, the sweet eyes and shiny hair gave way to the hand that makes the whole building go boom.

So, after the Ghost Hunters tribute episode, Ghostfacers, that gives us a little needed breather, we’ll turn headlong into the last three episodes of all Lilith and her fellow evil, all the time. Eric Kripke and Sera Gamble have promised that it’s not going to be pretty. Buffy fans remember seasons four, five, and six, where half of each season was spent fighting the unfightable. That’s what we’re likely to see in Lilith, just only in two or three episodes. Plus, now, they don’t have the Colt. Bela does, and she’s Kripke-knows-where. Of course, Dean will want to find and kill her. Sam, at this point, may or may not wish to stop him –depending on his frame of mind, at the time, especially his libido.

Ruby will be deep in the fight, and some speculate that we don’t really know what happened to Henriksen in the explosion. We only know that the news reported his death. Perhaps he’s gone rogue demon hunter, himself. More likely, though, he’s dead, but don’t put any of my hard earned cash on that.

Speaking of Henriksen, he and the demon horde in Jus in Bello were only the latest of the evils that Bela sent the boys’ way. That and her possession of the Colt, and her siccing Gordon on the boys, were more than enough to justify serious penalties from Sam and Dean, especially Dean.

So, enjoy the next couple of weeks of hard fought for reruns, then we’ll head into the fight.

What do you think will happen with Lilith, Ruby, and Bela? Why am I tempted to joke that they’ll move into a two-story Victorian in San Francisco, and begin saving innocents? Leave a comment and let us know where you think we’re headed in the closing episodes of Supernatural Season Three.

Well, I’m counting on Bela to die. I liked her at the beginning of S3. But she has to do more/be more to the supernatural universe that merely broadening the confines of the SN world beyond hunting and being a pain in the guy’s asses. Just being annoying isn’t enough reason to keep her around. The guys have enough grief in their lives without Bela added. So she should expire with extreme prejudice!

I think Lilith will be the big bad of S4. She’s too evil, too powerful, and too creepy a character to let go after only 3 episodes and a cameo in “Jus in Bello.” And I think we’ll see Ruby fighting right alongside the guys, Bobby, and hopefully Ellen.

While I hope Hendrickson didn’t die, I fear he has, which is a shame. It would have been good for the guys to have an ally in the justice department.

I also hope Sam doesn’t go evil. It would just be too cliched, as everyone in Whedon’s universe had to go evil at some point. I don’t want Supernatural to go there. Let Sam get darker, but allow that moral center he has, that ethical inner core prevail. Not every hero has to have gone evil to have his powerful good side shine.

I’d be happy if they just tied Dean to the mytharc instead of Bela.

I think bela will help sam and dean in the big fight but only by giving them some information. I think ruby will stand by the boy’s and fight. Also i think that sam will go sick with he’s power’s and kill lilth x

Well, I know Bela is in episode 3.15, if memory serves because I saw they were also casting for a ‘young Bela’ for that epi which means we’re likely to get a Bela flashback of some sort and a little of her back story, etc. Lillith is in 3.16 because I saw some of her script sides for the finale.

I’ll admit, although Bela got on my nerves for always seeming to one up the boys from the get-go — I thought I could grow to at least tolerate her, but alas she drives me nuts! I’m okay with Kripke and writers making her an antagonist for the Winchester boys but do they have to make her sooooooo annoying? So, with that said I hope they either make some changes to her character sooner rather than later or send her off into the sunset (alive or dead) I don’t care.

And, Ruby is in the finale and it does appear she is sticking by Sam’s side, now how the finale ends I haven’t a clue and based on some of the script pages I’ve read, I must admit, I haven’t an idea how Kripke is going to end the season.

    April 24 or Bust!
