Ruby is Fans’ Favorite New Supernatural Female
Okay. After all of last summer’s teeth gnashing, and snarling, and bitter worry over Supernatural’s new women, Season 3 is complete. Ruby and Bela have come –and gone, thanks to Lilith.
For the past week, we’ve polled our readers on who they liked best –Ruby, Bela, or Lilith. The results: Ruby is soundly trouncing Bela and Lilith. Currently, with 96 votes, Ruby has 57.
I have to admit, I agree. I began the season, fully thinking, “Bela is more serious looking. She’s smart. She’s crafty. She’s a thorn in the boys’ sides.” Once things got rolling, though, Ruby, the nice demon, turned out to be the most interesting, and even believable, character. I still see criticism of Katie Cassidy, but I thought she played the part well.
Bela, once they got into the season, appears to have been a difficult character to integrate into the boys’ world in a nice, organic way. That’s how things go. Often, a show introduces a character, and they have to see how things work, and be prepared to write the character out, if their instincts tell them so. I think, the way they used her to move the season’s story arc along worked. She was a pain in the butt. She sold the boys out, a handful of times. Then, hellhounds took her away. Nice doggies.
Lilith, who must return in season 4 –I guess- hasn’t been much, yet. We knew she was going to be this awesome, ancient, evil that the boys would have great difficulty facing. She came, she killed, she ran away screaming. Season 4 spoilage hasn’t really mentioned her, yet. Of course, she had two big goals: get Dean’s soul, and destroy Sam. She got Dean. Sam, in the final moments of the season, proved to be impervious to her power. Oh well, to an awesome, ancient evil, one out of two ain’t bad?!? I know the strike made it difficult, but we only saw her in two episodes, and, in the second one, Sam made her run away. There was never any real fight between her and the boys. They were no match for her in saving Dean. Sam hasn’t fought her. We just know that she can’t hurt him with her strobe from Hell.
What’s next? Ruby comes back. Lilith will um… I don’t know about Lilith. Maybe she’ll be back to have her butt sent back to where she can’t hurt anyone.
What do you think will happen with Lilith? I’m sure we’ll discuss this much, over the summer. So, let’s get it started.

I^m sorry but i do NOT like Ruby… The caracther is kinda interesant but the actrees doesn^t play it well and i would like to see more Dean/Ruby (they act toguether very little in season 3)…Coz Bela was more conected with Dean that Sam and now she^s gone for ever!!! So Ruby will have to have more escene with the older brother Dean! Well i haven^t see season finale yet but i will in 1 week and i just hope that in season 4 we got more Den/Ruby chimisthy (i kinda like more Dean/Ruby that Sam/Ruby anyway)^_^)

I agree with Mariale and many fans who feel that the Ruby character is interesting but that the actress playing her Miss Katie Cassidy sucks. Now in the 3-16 season ending episode for season 3 ”No Rest for The Wicked ”, it seems that KC upgraded her acting which mainly consists of a valley , Cali girl who always comes on with a teenybopper voice and her arms crossed over her waist. This would have been a great momento for boss Kripke to have a new host playing demon Ruby? Maybe it might happen….since rumor has it that Miss Cassidy is coming back for season 4….but that she will be playing another character? My guess a human …not a demon….or maybe the body could be possessed by a new demon? But I doubt it will be Lilith?

Since Miss Cassidy is returning to work 6 months on season 4 of SPN….then my advice to Kripke is that Miss Cassidy does play another character. But if Ruby comes back human …will she become Sam’s new partner…since Dean has been in Hell for 6 months. Also will we see a crazy Dean and a mean spirited Sammy like we saw in ”Mystery Spot”? Terminater Sam out hunting in Dean’s impala is an image that will kill SPN …FANS.

I know that Sammy will be hunting and driving in the impala because Dean told Sammy to do so, Keep hunting and take care of my wheels. Lets hope that Ruby has not been promoted to riding shot gun next to Sammy.???

Kripke I remember was all excited about season 3, which in my opinion turned into one hell of a nightmare for many SPN Fans. Fans ended up fighting over the new regular girls and referred to them as ”RUBELA”. We were cheated 6 episodes because of the stupid ”writer’s strike”, Ellen never appeared? Dean was sent to Hell….because though Kripke says he cares about the fans…it’s obvious that he doesn’t and that he is the boss….Sam and Dean are his children and he will do what ever the fuck he decides to do? One day however EK or maybe he should be called ET….will turn around and feel as empty as the CW Network is feeling everytime they loose viewers.

Now that I think about it ….where did you come up with this idiotic question…”Ruby is fans new like female in Supernatural???” Are you CRAZY? She isn’t ! Considerring too that Eric big head Kripke kills off everyone on Supernatural, Ruby will be eliminated by my guess by mid season 4. The question is who will kill her? Sam, Dean, or Lilith?

“Favorite female”? Seriously, what are you smoking? A “nice” demon, with “humanity”?! Oh puhleeze! And PLEASE don’t confuse the “character” with the “actress” (and I use this particular term very loosely). One decent performance in the finale does not excuse a season’s worth of inconsistency and general mediocrity. While “Ruby” is an interesting character offering much to move the mytharc along, Katie appears to have lost her way from the Gossip Girl set, stumbling on the SN set by accident. On second thought, kill the meatsuit, leave Ruby in hell (or wherever) and bring back the awesome Nicki Aycox as MEG! My only hope now is that they cast a real woman, a real actress for Lilith’s jump into an adult meatsuit.

Wow! Way to go Anna, I like your truth be told. You are 100% correct. I think that Katie Cassidy ’s beauty blindsides Kripke….so he doesn’t have the heart to tell the 21yr ..old blonde beauty that her acting sucks. Cassidy smiles shows her dimples and Kripke is in lala land. He’s thinking must be whatever the girl wants the girl gets.??? My advice to Kripke keep writing man…because that’s where your talents are at. I remember him in interviews and even in the 1st. season DVD…he talks about his original idea for his Supernatural series. He said it was going to be about a reporter who travels across America in search of urban legends??? I was like you idiot…that story was already told in ”KOLCHAK”, with Darren McGavin like in the 70’s….he played a reporter hunting urben legends. You know the same actor who was in ”A Christmas Story”, playing the father figure there.

Kripke then suggested that Sam and Dean play guys who are enemies not brothers. Where Dean was going to be hunting Sam. So Kripke in my opinion doesnt’ know what the hell he is doing…he just takes it one episode at a time???

Is a shame that Kripke decided to take of Katie of SPN, beacuse she’s the best feamle character on SPN ever! Altough I heard that another actress will replace her, it won’t be the same as Katie, maybe people don’t think like this but I really think that Ruby and Bela are great characters. In a story a girl is writing about Ruby’s past made me love Ruby even more, and I’m so sad taht Katie is not going to act like Ruby anymore.

I like Bela the best. She’s so witty and cool.
