Okay. After all of last summer’s teeth gnashing, and snarling, and bitter worry over Supernatural’s new women, Season 3 is complete. Ruby and Bela have come –and gone, thanks to Lilith.
For the past week, we’ve polled our readers on who they liked best –Ruby, Bela, or Lilith. The results: Ruby is soundly trouncing Bela and Lilith. Currently, with 96 votes, Ruby has 57.

Who was your favorite Season 3 new female character? There were three big, strong-willed characters, Ruby, Bela, and Lilith. They were snotty, they got pissed off, and they gave the Winchester boys a really hard time.

I can’t wait for the season finale of Supernatural, No Rest for the Wicked. This promises to be so packed with action and emotional energy, a few diehard fans might explode on the couch. So, I’m picking up some plastic sheeting; a good supply of soda, Funyuns, and pizza rolls; and setting up a few simultaneous digital and VHS recordings, before the action begins Thursday at 9PM ET/PT, 8PM CT/MT.

Firefox News had an email chat with Supernatural’s writer extraordinaire, Sera Gamble. She talks freely about being on strike, and having the chance to write without staying in the bounds of wide marketability.
Gamble also spills some spoilers for the rest of the season, as well as her thoughts on the potential for Season Four. That nagging question about Ruby and Bela, and the fans’ strong feelings about them. She’s driving, claiming to be two states away –with the Colt, which she stole in Dream a Little Dream of Me. Dean warns that he’ll find her, because he has nothing better to do than hunt her down. This week, The CW started a new promo “The Girls of Thursday Night”. Supernatural’s Bela (Lauren Cohan) and Ruby (Katie Cassidy) get plenty of coverage, as well as Smallville’s Kara (Laura Vandervoort). Smallville’s already existing cast members get quick flashes, so, obviously, they’re promoting the new blood on these shows. Are they, however, doing it in a way that best represents either show, particularly Supernatural.

Is this the exploitation that Supernatural fans feared back in July? Is this the Bela- and Ruby- mania that we loathe to see happen to the show?

Hunter Kubrick is at the prison, visiting Gordon, the hunter who wanted to kill Sam in Season Two. Gordon tells Kubrick that he must hunt Sam down, because he’s evil and is the one that opened the Gate in the Season Two finale.

Word continues to spread of the Winchesters and the opening of a devil’s gate, with them to blame. Gordon’s instincts may condemn Sam, Sam is kidnapped by a mentee of fellow hunter who admires Gordon and brutally beaten. He swears that his past supernatural abilities are gone,
but is ignored. While looking for Sam, Dean spars with a thief and, luckily, gains the upper hand – for now.
