Supernatural creator Eric Kripke delivered some bad news in an interview with TV Guide. Despite great admiration for Katie Cassidy, and a desire to bring her back in Season 4, the slumping value of the U.S. dollar has made it impossible to bring Ruby back from Hell.
Kripke said that Katie was great for the show. Despite this, and despite having the same budget as last year, producing the show in Canada where the U.S. Dollar is weak means making some hard decisions.

This sounds like the dream deal that Supernatural fans have waited for all their… well for the past three years. Head man Eric Kripke is looking at a two-year exclusive deal with Warner Brothers TV, that will ensure that he will continue to executive produce and run Supernatural. This would seem to mean that he’s ensured of having the fifth season that he’s always envisioned.

Many of our Australian friends love the show Supernatural, and are working hard to lure a Supernatural Convention down-under. This week, Warner Brothers Television announced the September 3 release date for Supernatural Season Three on DVD. Many connoisseurs of TV on DVD live for great bonus features. The more, the better. The bigger, the better. The more unique, the better. Within a couple of days the release date announcement, they began talking about the extras.
You’ll be glad to hear that, according to Warner Brothers Television, the bonus features on the upcoming DVD box set of Supernatural Season Three on DVD will be extraordinary. Chief among the features will be a digital copy of every episode. This is great news …read more

Alleviate those Supernatural summer break doldrums. Pre-order your very own copy of Supernatural Season 3 on DVD, due out September 2, 2008. You can pre-order at Amazon, and have the DVDs in your hot little hands, right after Labor Day. We can be thankful that they’re releasing them about three weeks earlier than they did Season 2.
