At night, in Maple Springs, NY, at the site of a new housing tract a threesome of contractors arguing about some lumber. They hear a strange noise coming from the periphery. One (Kyle) goes to investigate, sees nothing. Relieved, he heads back to the others. Suddenly, the others are attacked by an unseen “wild animal”. The remaining man, looking at his co-workers dead on the ground is then attacked.

Hunter Kubrick is at the prison, visiting Gordon, the hunter who wanted to kill Sam in Season Two. Gordon tells Kubrick that he must hunt Sam down, because he’s evil and is the one that opened the Gate in the Season Two finale.
Cicero, Indiana:
A woman walks outside her house, arms folded. An SUV drives up, and her ex drops off their daughter. Apparently, Katie, the daughter, threw a fit and he brought her back. As the dad drives off, the little girl says her dad is mean, there are monsters at her dad’s house, and she never wants to go back.
AC/DC’s “Hell’s Bells” starts. The opening is the usual CW/WB/UPN “previously on…” that we’ve known and loved since Buffy. Shows loads of previous seasons’ scenes. It was weighted heavily toward the scenes from the end of Season Two, ending with the Devil’s Gate opening up, and Bobby’s proclamation that the war is coming.
