While Hollywood still believes that the Screen Actors Guild will not strike, the situation is bogged in ambiguity. There is so much confusion on where the lack-of-agreement stands, that Variety even reports that SAG and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers can’t even agree on a description of the situation. The AMPTP insists that its now-rejected offer was final, and there will be no negotiations. SAG states that its counterproposals amount to negotiations. Huh?

What does this mean for Supernatural, and the rest of television? Nobody seems to know, yet. The contract ended, last month, and we now have to wait and see.

24 fans will recognize another name on the cast list, Harry Lennix from that show’s sixth season.

Okay. This last casting tidbit, that Joss Whedon leaks so proudly on Whedonesque, has entrenched itself alongside all the other nonsense that pervades Jonathan’s soul. “November (who will be recurring but does not appear in the pilot) will be played by the luminous Miracle Laurie.”, riffs Whedon. A short stroll into the world of Miracle Laurie reveals but one screen credit, but further investigation yields the real treasure that hits close to home. Miracle Laurie is vocalist and uke player in the ukelele cover band –that’s right ukelele cover band- Uke Box Hero. This made my year. Part of me thinks that she came into a reading, and wowed the pants off of everyone. The rest of me, though, hopes to discover that Whedon was out of town, sitting in some crazy, near-the-airport bar. Amidst fog, lasers, mirrors, loads of hairspray, eyeliner, and platform shoes, young Miracle Laurie takes the stage, wailing away on a sweet cocktail of Ozzie Osbourne, AC/DC, Elton John, and Neil Diamond covers.

Thank you Joss Whedon! I love you!

For you Supernatural fans who are in it for the mystery, and also love a good detective story, tomorrow night, March 6 10PM/9PM CST, A&E premieres the new crime drama Crime 360.

The pilot episode, Welcome to Homicide, centers on Detective Shane Wait, as he investigates the murder of a victim found stuffed in the trunk of a car. His search begins with only the body and the car as clues; no witnesses, and no evidence of where the crime originated appear. His investigation finally gains traction, when a 911 call reports gunshots at an apartment complex, on the night of the murder.

Crime 360 premieres Thursday, March 6 at 10PM/9PM CST.

Supernatural, not a new show, but always on the list of potential dropees, I suppose, is on that list. So, go vote for Supernatural as the show that most deserves to stay around for another season!
