When Eric Kripke appeared with Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki at Comic-Con, fans sat on the edges of their seats. Kripke, though, was his usual cryptic self, leaking more teasers than wholesome spoilers for Season Four.
One nice touch for X-Files fans, Mitch Pileggi will show up as Mary Winchester’s father. Of course, it would be an interesting coincidence if Sam and Dean showed up to a mystery and meet Mulder and Scully. In a universe that holds both duos, it would almost need to happen, and they would be a lot more helpful than Bela ever was.
Kripke and the boys did open up a bit more about Season 4, though, at the press roundtable.
Diehard fans know that must, and will, come back. In fact, the title of the season premiere, Lazarus Rising, makes an early return for Dean less than mysterious. Mystery, however, is what Eric Kripke has in mind for Season Four. Although Dean comes back early, the mechanics and the players involved in how and why it happened will remain to unravel over time.
Along the many other mysteries, only over time will we discover any details of Dean’s fate in the underworld. One thing Kripke has alluded to, like in other mythologies (Buffy, for instance) time in Hell moves much faster than time here. Four months in our time may have been like years for poor brother Dean.
According to Kripke, after an awkward Season Three, Kripke says he’s ready to turn up the heat, going into the best years for Supernatural. At this point, the show’s abundant supply of loyal fans are in for quite a ride. Both main characters have hit bottom. Dean has literally been to Hell and back. We don’t know, for sure, how or why he was brought back. His time there has surely left him quite a mess, and he’s going to fit into the destiny that, previously, only included Sam. His quick, shoot from the hip, personality, however, will still be there.
Up till now, Sam’s special powers and dark side have only given us passing glances. Now, Jared Padalecki is excited to see the show explore these elements of Sam in Season 4.

After viewing the trailer shown at last week’s Comic-Con, Mr. Beaks, over at Ain’t It Cool, had a discussion with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, about upcoming movie Friday the 13th. They had some interesting things to say about the film, the lore, the rumors, and more. Naturally, as a fan of the original movie, and a fan of Jared Padalecki, I have an interst in this movie.
Of course, they address one of the biggest surprises of the trailer, the fast moving Jason Voorhees. The lumbering giant of the first go-round, found his fast-twitch fibers in this remake. That makes for some tired victims, right before their horrific ends. This was part of a broad plan to make sure the characters, especially Jason, seem believable.
Check out the whole interview at Ain’t It Cool.

This Thursday, Supernatural is a repeat of episode Jus in Bello. This big turning point in the story of the show pits the boys against not only Agent Henriksen, but against an army of Lilith followers. Sam and Dean Winchester, as well as Ruby, really have their hands full. This is a very intense episode, if for some horrible reason, you missed it.
Here are some Jus in Bello tidbits, I covered, while the stuff was going down, in Season 2.

]]>To start it off, Supernatural’s Dean Winchester, Jensen Ackles, shares his thoughts on Season 4. He hints at some of the spoilers we’ve heard, like about what Dean went through in Hell, and what Sam was up to for four long months.
Eric Kripke offers his open-ended invite to bring Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He also offers the new, strange direction for Supernatural. Watch to see what I mean.
He also reveals that the Halloween episode will give the holiday treatment similar to what A Very Supernatural Christmas did for Christmas.
Note that the ancient holiday common to the Celts was Samhain, pronounced as if spelled “SOW-en“, not like Sam Hane. It was nice, however, to hear that the legacy of Donald Pleasance lives on.
Sera Gamble, talented writer and now show executive, gives extremely broad descriptions of Season Four. She did admit that every season just gets worse and worse for everyone.

]]>Every Supernatural fan is dying to find out what happens in the first episode of Season Four. After two consecutive springtimes wondering if our beloved Sam and Dean Winchester would return to us, next Autumn, we were finally able to enjoy the final half-dozen Season Three episodes without worrying if there would be a Season Four. Those same episode also left us with the death of older brother Dean, and to see him in the waning moments of the season, agonizing in a bizarre Hell.
So, fellow fans fainting for further factual finds for favorite, fresh, fraternal fiction, join me alliteratively through a roundup of Supernatural Season Four Premiere Spoilers. Okay, maybe not alliteratively. That would just be annoying. The factoids are actually very “open”. So open, I’m not sure I believe any of them. So open, however, that the spoiler-sensitive may still not want to venture beyond the jump…
Bon apetit!
