Last week, The CW posted the official synopsis for the next new Supernatural episode, Ghostfacers.

Sam and Dean take a break from their usual gig to star in a gritty reality show called “Ghostfacers” which chronicles the pursuit of the paranormal. Ed Zeddmore (guest star A. J. The CW has announced its early pickups, and Supernatural is on the list of shows for Autumn 2008!
This is excellent news, more or less expected, but not guaranteed.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan –Supernatural’s John “Dad” Winchester, Weeds co-star, and Grey’s Anatomy’s one-ep wonder- and once and again love of his life- Mary Louise Parker have made it official. They’re engaged.
Apparently, the Three-By-Three-Name Lovebirds having been reunited on the set of Weeds has been good for the couple, and they’ve made another go of the relationship they put on hold in June 2007.

The CW has confirmed that the network will air four to five new episodes of Supernatural, this season, in addition to the two new episodes that will air this week and next.
Eric Kripke, as late as last week, said that they were considering whether to air new episodes in April/May, or to hold them for the summer, or even until next Autumn. We fans, though, are dying to see what happens next!
