Mr Beaks Talks with “Friday the 13th” Producers

After viewing the trailer shown at last week’s Comic-Con, Mr. Beaks, over at Ain’t It Cool, had a discussion with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, about upcoming movie Friday the 13th. They had some interesting things to say about the film, the lore, the rumors, and more. Naturally, as a fan of the original movie, and a fan of Jared Padalecki, I have an interst in this movie.

Of course, they address one of the biggest surprises of the trailer, the fast moving Jason Voorhees. The lumbering giant of the first go-round, found his fast-twitch fibers in this remake. That makes for some tired victims, right before their horrific ends. This was part of a broad plan to make sure the characters, especially Jason, seem believable.

Jared Padalecki in “Friday the 13th” Remake

Jared Padalecki has landed the lead role in an upcoming Paramount remake of the horror classic Friday the 13th. Jason Voorhees may not have made it into an episode of Supernatural, as we were once told, but Padalecki will play the character who tries to determine what has happened up at Crystal Lake.

They plan to release the film, Friday, 13th February 2009. I can’t wait!

Episode 3.10: Dream A Little Dream Of Me
Airdate: February 7, 2008

College professor Dr. Gregg dies mysteriously.
Dr. Gregg had been conducting a sleep study, testing a sleep disorder treatment.
Dean poses as a detective, interviewing students and faculty at the college.
Jeremy, a stoner student, tells Dean that he no longer dreams, a result of one session sleeping under Dr. Gregg’s drug. The treatment gave him a super-intense, trip-like dream
Sam, Dean, and Bobby get trapped inside their dreams, facing their biggest fears.
The three determine that Jeremy is responsible for their dream, possibly dream-walking between each others’ dreams. He, apparently, has the ability to enter people’s dreams, and keep them trapped in their own worst fears.
Dean fights a dream version of himself. Dean on Dean.
Bobby’s and Dean’s dreams are central to the episode.
Bobby’s dream reveals how he began hunting.
Dean realizes he desperately wants to live.
Bela appears.
Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame was to appear. Latest word was that the permission fell through. Watch and see, though.

Maybe the Jason Voorhees story was a ruse, and it’s really Freddy Krueger! What do you think?

Jason Voorhees Cut from Supernatural Episode

The masked killer from the bottom of Crystal Lake will NOT appear in Supernatural episode 3.10. Earlier this season, show creator Erik Kripke said that they had clearance from the Friday The 13th people to have Jason Voorhees show up in the episode. Apparently, the plug was pulled on that one. Maybe the big guy thought Jason, Jared, and Jensen was too alliterative.

So, what, or who, will stalk the night in episode ten of season three?

We don’t know. No one seems to know. I bet Erik Kripke knows, but he hasn’t told anyone that has leaked it onto the street yet.

Maybe they could have Freddie Versus Ruby.

They could also try to get Michael Myers. Either the scary one, or the one from Halloween.

I think Pinhead has a few open dates in his Blackberry.

Better yet, why don’t they get the freak that keeps taking socks from the dryer?
