Mercedes McNab In New Movie “Dark Reel”

Mercedes McNab –Buffy veteran, and erstwhile Supernatural vampire- appears as Tara Leslie in the upcoming film Dark Reel. The film is a supernatural thriller, based on the real-life 1958 murder of actress Scarlett May.
In Dark Reel, a B-movie fan wins a walk-on role in a new horror film. When filming begins, though, the murder of one of the actresses, the investigation, the knowledge that a murderer is on the loose, and the film’s new notoriety, cause a real stir for the cast and crew.

Supernatural’s Meg –Nicki Aycox- Star of Animals

Supernatural’s Meg –Nicki Aycox- Star of Animals

Currently in post-production, Animals features Nicki Aycox and Marc Blucas (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 4 fame).
In the movie, Syd Jarrett (Marc Blucas –and, gee, who could that name refer to? Thinly veiled, but I think I like it)… anyway… Syd is a small town guy, for whom everything seems to have gone wrong lately. Despondent, he shuts down, and gives up on any hopes he had for his life. When he meets Nora (Nicki Aycox), he gets tangled up in a world of shapeshifters, some of whom are more at home in their animal selves than in …read more

Nicki Aycox, Supernatural’s Demon Meg Masters, in “Joy Ride: End of the Road”

Nicki Aycox, Supernatural’s Demon Meg Masters, in “Joy Ride: End of the Road”

Supernatural’s own end of Season One demon Nicki Aycox hits the small screen again, this year, in a sequel to horror/suspense movie Joy Ride. The original hit theater goers with a menacing truck driver who just wouldn’t let poor Leelee Sobieski, Steve Zahn, and Paul Walker alone.
The sequel, Joy Ride: End of the Road brings the bad guy back to harass little Nicki Aycox, unfortunately, now stripped of her demon powers.
Watch for this movie on DVD in 2008, and watch here for more info.

Ten Inch Hero: Los Angeles Area Screening a Hit

Ten Inch Hero: Los Angeles Area Screening a Hit

According to the fine folks who give us Ten Inch Hero, the LA (Monrovia) screening, Sunday, was a huge success. There was no mention of Jensen Ackles, but Sean Wing was there early, and, according to the Ten Inch Hero blog, he was looking a bit like Satan.
One cool thing about this screening: the cost of admission was one unwrapped toy, worth $10 or more. That was definitely a cool move, ju-u-u-u-ust in time for Channukah, and with time to spare for Christmas and the like.

“P.S. I Love You” with Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Theaters December 21

Only three more weeks until the new movie “P.S. I Love You” hits theaters. In a strong departure from John Winchester in Supernatural, Jeffrey Dean Morgan features as a man in Holly Kennedy’s (Hilary Swank) life following the untimely death of her husband Jerry.
As much as I’ve tried, I haven’t found any good information on how much Jeffrey Dean Morgan is really in this movie. No synopses tell who William is. His face pops up in a trailer, but it’s unclear whether he’s a friend, a love interest, or just the husband of one of Holly’s friends.
The film is …read more
