Seattle, Washington: A little boy answers the door, and let’s his granddad inside.
Later that night, Granddad is dressed as Santa, putting gifts around the tree, and ringing some bells to stir his grandson. The little boy comes down and sees “Santa” at the tree. Suddenly, there’s a loud crashing sound on the roof, and debris comes down the chimney. Granddad looks in to investigate, but some creature reaches down and yanks Granddad up the chimney.

TV Guide has published a Q&A with Erik Kripke. He answers the burning questions that Supernatural fans had submitted to TV Guide.

Kripke talks about Mary Winchester’s background, not going where the Wendigo went, the YED (Yellow Eyed Demon), and the world of demon hunters that the boys meet. My favorite piece is on Bobby, a character that I’m glad they’re developing this season:

AC/DC’s “Hell’s Bells” starts. The opening is the usual CW/WB/UPN “previously on…” that we’ve known and loved since Buffy. Shows loads of previous seasons’ scenes. It was weighted heavily toward the scenes from the end of Season Two, ending with the Devil’s Gate opening up, and Bobby’s proclamation that the war is coming.

As we count the last few days before Season Three begins, I thought I’d open up and confess a few of my favorite episodes of Supernatural. You may notice a theme that would indicate why I might be excited that Season Three will be more like Season One.

1.01 Pilot
I really did like the pilot. I thought it was a good story, and actually touching. I was convinced by the brothers display of tension, sprinkled with a distant brotherly love and concern.
