Kripke, though, was his usual cryptic self, leaking more teasers than wholesome spoilers for Season Four.

One nice touch for X-Files fans, Mitch Pileggi will show up as Mary Winchester’s father. Of course, it would be an interesting coincidence if Sam and Dean showed up to a mystery and meet Mulder and Scully. In a universe that holds both duos, it would almost need to happen, and they would be a lot more helpful than Bela ever was.

Kripke and the boys did open up a bit more about Season 4, though, at the press roundtable.

Diehard fans know that must, and will, come back. In fact, the title of the season premiere, Lazarus Rising, makes an early return for Dean less than mysterious. Mystery, however, is what Eric Kripke has in mind for Season Four. Although Dean comes back early, the mechanics and the players involved in how and why it happened will remain to unravel over time.

Along the many other mysteries, only over time will we discover any details of Dean’s fate in the underworld. One thing Kripke has alluded to, like in other mythologies (Buffy, for instance) time in Hell moves much faster than time here. Four months in our time may have been like years for poor brother Dean.

According to Kripke, after an awkward Season Three, Kripke says he’s ready to turn up the heat, going into the best years for Supernatural. At this point, the show’s abundant supply of loyal fans are in for quite a ride. Both main characters have hit bottom. Dean has literally been to Hell and back. We don’t know, for sure, how or why he was brought back. His time there has surely left him quite a mess, and he’s going to fit into the destiny that, previously, only included Sam. His quick, shoot from the hip, personality, however, will still be there.

Up till now, Sam’s special powers and dark side have only given us passing glances. Now, Jared Padalecki is excited to see the show explore these elements of Sam in Season 4.

Thanks to my compatriot Cynthia, from SF Universe, and Karla Petersen at the Union-Tribune.

Post from: Supernatural Scoop

Supernatural Spoilers: Episode 4.01 Lazarus Rising

Supernatural Spoilers

4.01

4x01

dean-in-hell

episode

lazarus rising

spoilers

supernatural

Episode 4.01: Lazarus Rising Airdate: September 18, 2008 Every Supernatural fan is dying to find out what happens in the first episode of Season Four. After two consecutive springtimes wondering if our beloved Sam and Dean Winchester would return to us, next Autumn, we were finally able to enjoy the final half-dozen Season Three episodes without worrying if there would be a Season Four. Those same episode also left us with the death of older brother Dean, and to see him in the waning moments of the season, agonizing in a bizarre Hell.

So, fellow fans fainting for further factual finds for favorite, fresh, fraternal fiction, join me alliteratively through a roundup of Supernatural Season Four Premiere Spoilers. Okay, maybe not alliteratively. That would just be annoying. The factoids are actually very “open”. So open, I’m not sure I believe any of them. So open, however, that the spoiler-sensitive may still not want to venture beyond the jump…

The teaser-y screening of the first five minutes of the episode reveal Dean digging his way from the grave. We see from a newspaper, that Dean must have been in Hell for four months. Suddenly, though, an unknown force whacks Dean, knocking him out. [The new, recurring demon Castiel?]

Bobby introduces Sam to Pamela Barnes –played by Tracy Dinwiddie- a psychic who attempted to summon the Yellow Eyed Demon, Azazel himself. Bobby calls her “the best damn psychic in the state.” They contact her to help track down demons. [Remember the war?]

They also hope that Pamela can help them find out about Dean’s fate.

Something attacks Bobby.

Sam appears to hook up with Kristy, described as 20-something, “sexy, snarky, and adept at adjusting to any and every situation”. [Sounds like Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction.] She also sounds to be savvy about the ways of the demons, and other underworldlies.

Castiel, a new demon that no human can see, seems to be talking to [Dean]. A discussion between them makes it sound like Castiel must have rescued Dean. Dean (“guy”) asks a lot of questions of Castiel, but, hey! He’s out! What more could he want?

Castiel is calm, but very good at getting people’s attention as well as gaining their trust.

Bon apetit!

How much do you believe? 100%? 5%? 0%? Let’s hear what you think, in the comments.

Post from: Supernatural Scoop

Sera Gamble Interview on Blog Critics

Interviews

Sera Gamble

interview

spoilers

supernatural

writer

Supernatural writers, Raelle Tucker and Sera Gamble. As writer or story editor for most of the series, so far, she has to take at least some of the blame for elevating out fears of cannibals, big country lakes, mirrors, clowns, falling in love with werewolves, mausoleums, and –now- melon ballers.

She shares her take on season 3, and teases us about season 4, in her interview with Alice Jester at BlogCritics.com. She does touch on some spoilers that are, technically, already floating about on the internet. So, if you’re squeamish about spoilers, you won’t want to read this interview. She does, however, mention that she’d like to leak fake spoilers out, to help fans be as surprised and excited, as the writers are, when they create each episode.

In fact, right now, she says, she’s working on episode 2 for next season; one which brings back several characters from the past. She also talks a bit about the process –how ideas are pitched and expanded- in the writers’ room, as well as her newer role as producer

So, if you don’t mind a little spoiler action, check out this new Sera Gamble interview at BlogCritics.com.

Post from: Supernatural Scoop

Supernatural First Look: 3.16 – No Rest For The Wicked – Season Finale!

Bela

Bobby Singer

CW

Dean Winchester

Erik Kripke

Jared Padalecki

Jensen Ackles

Jim Beaver

Katie Cassidy

Lauren Cohan

Ruby

Sam Winchester

Supernatural Actors

Supernatural Characters

Supernatural Spoilers

Uncategorized

Video Clips

3.16

3x16

dean

first-look

Lilith

no-rest-for-the-wicked

sam

sneak-peak

spoilers

supernatural

the-cw

video

winchester

I can’t wait for the season finale of Supernatural, No Rest for the Wicked. She talks freely about being on strike, and having the chance to write without staying in the bounds of wide marketability.

Gamble also spills some spoilers for the rest of the season, as well as her thoughts on the potential for Season Four. That nagging question about Ruby and Bela, and the fans’ strong feelings about them. There’s even talk about an old semi-hunter friend showing up again, as well as a brand new hunter who shows up toward the end of this season. [I'll spoil a bit more after the break, if you're not squeamish about that.]

Girls, I’ve had loads of questions and comments about those “delicious tattoos”. Well, Ms. Gamble spills about those, too.

Episode 3.14

In the next episode, they steer clear –more or less- of the mythology introduced in Jus in Bello. It’s a bit of emotional relief –comic maybe- involving the Hellhound’s Lair boys from Season One episode Hell House. They show up doing a pilot for a cable show called Ghostfacers, so you can imagine the pseudo-documentary mayhem that will ensue. Sera Gamble says it will be “an entertaining episode.” Plus, it gives us –and them- a little emotional break before it gets too close to the big day for Dean, as his year comes to a close.

Miss Gamble also explains the crazy writing credits for Dream A Little Dream of Me, in that Cathryn Humphris completed the story that Sera Gamble began. Eric Kripke pulled her in to the writing of Jus in Bello.

Also appearing in Sera Gamble’s spoilage:

Lilith

Agent Henriksen

The Tattoos! I know, already mentioned, but everyone keeps asking.

Ellen Harvells returns in the season finale!

New hunter, who, at this point, is a “paranoid survivalist type”.

So, check out exactly what she says at Interview: Sera Gamble.

Post from: Supernatural Scoop

Sam Winchester: Journey into Night?

Erik Kripke

Sam Winchester

demons

ghost-whisperer

medium

spoilers

supernatural

Poor Sammy. His mom was taken from him on the day he turned six months old. [How the heck did that Yellow-Eyed Demon keep track of all those birthdays before Palms and Crackberries?] He traveled around the country in the back of the Impala, while his dad hunted things that went bump in the night. He lost his girlfriend, Jess, in the pilot, thanks again to the Yellow-Eyed Demon. He died, last year. His brother made a crossroads deal that brought him back, but now, he’s going to lose his brother. Oi! Then there were the years of teasing by his older brother. In Asylum, he revealed to Dean that he had dreams that came true. Later, Dean, in his trademark wit asked, “Hey Sam, who do you think is a hotter psychic? Patricia Arquette, Jennifer Love Hewitt, or you?” Of course, he was comparing Sam to Ghost Whisperer’s Melinda Gordon, and Medium’s Alison Dubois.

Now, Eric Kripke and Jared Padalecki, recently, have been talking a lot about Sam’s developments in upcoming episodes. We’re going to see more and more of the darker side of Sam. Are we going to see that Sam is really part demon, somehow? Are we going to find out that John Winchester is not really Sam’s biological father?

What are we going to find out about Mary Winchester? Does she have some kind of good, paranormal background? Is she some kind of angel? Did she know the YED, before she met John Winchester?

It’s time to scour the rest of the Supernatural-verse looking for more clues! Where’s that comic…?

Chime in, and let’s hear what you think is going to happen. We’ve got loads of time to examine, frame-by-frame, episodes on DVD, and ponder every nuance of Kripke’s cryptic interview answers. What do you think is going to happen to Sam? And with all this, how is he going to help Dean? Is Ruby going to take out Bela, then save Dean herself, right before knocking some sense into Sam? Is Alison Dubois going to have to tell Sam what his mother thinks of his actions? Or is Melinda Gordon going to have to do it?

Post from: Supernatural Scoop

Eric Kripke Reveals More to StarPulse: Spinoff? The interview delves into a few places we haven’t seen before: Kripke talks about his vision of Supernatural as a modern-day western. Kripke and the writers often talk about a spinoff possibility about Sam Colt and a bunch of 19th century hunters in the U.S. West. In Jus in Bello we meet the big bad demon that replaces the Yellow Eyed Demon, that we’ve heard about; the one that the demon “Casey” told Dean about in Sin City. This demon sees Sam as competition, so watch out, boys!
