Season One Guest Amy Acker Joins “Dollhouse” Cast

Season One Guest Amy Acker Joins “Dollhouse” Cast

Recently, we’ve discovered that Amy Acker, friend to evil-fighting vampires and erstwhile guest star on Supernatural (episode 1.03 Dead in the Water), is going to take part in Joss Whedon’s new show Dollhouse. Joss Whedon confirmed that Ms. Acker will portray Dr. Claire Saunders. Amy Acker was brilliant in her seventy episodes on Angel. I am very excited to see her as a regular on the small screen again, especially working with Joss Whedon. They are both amazing. I’m a huge fan on both counts.
24 fans will recognize another name on the cast list, Harry Lennix from that show’s sixth …read more

Buckley) and Harry Spengler (guest star Travis Wester) have created a radically different and sometimes violent show full of profanity that takes them to the Morton Mansion, an abandoned estate which becomes one of the most haunted places in America one night each year. However, as their team begins to get picked off in …read more

Ausiello Poll: Which “bubble” show deserves another season the most?

Ausiello Poll: Which “bubble” show deserves another season the most?

This year, we’ve seen some good, and some great new shows. The writers’ strike may have helped some of them, in a way, by giving the networks too little time to axe them, and percolate any new ideas for next season. As things go, though, some may rise, some may fall, and some may stay around plenty long to jump the shark in a season or two. And we’ve already seen a couple of shows dropped already.
So, with the TV programmers’ chopping block in mind, our man at TV Guide, Michael Ausiello, has posted a poll, asking which “bubble” show …read more

Directors, Producers Strike Deal: Writers Next?

Directors, Producers Strike Deal: Writers Next?

Just 27 seconds ago –more or less- the Directors Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers tentatively agreed to a three year contract. The agreement, covering the same sorts of issues that have caused the Writers Guild of America strike, including royalties for internet revenues, is groundbreaking. Also, as contracts go in Hollywood, this should herald a similar agreement between the AMPTP and the WGA.
La-La Land generally practices “pattern bargaining”, meaning that, once one class of creative types signs a contract with moguls, it sets a precedent to aid in negotiations between other creative …read more
