Supernatural News: CW Orders 4-5 More Episodes

The CW has confirmed that the network will air four to five new episodes of Supernatural, this season, in addition to the two new episodes that will air this week and next.
Eric Kripke, as late as last week, said that they were considering whether to air new episodes in April/May, or to hold them for the summer, or even until next Autumn. We fans, though, are dying to see what happens next!

CW Expresses Support for “Supernatural”

Paul Maguire, Executive Vice President of Network Communications at The CW, expressed the network’s support for Supernatural to our Sci-Fi writer friend at About.com, Mark Wilson. [He'll say he's never heard of me, but, just humor him.]
Mr. Wilson wrote the network, asking them to make a statement about the move to remove Supernatural from the line-up to help gain exposure for sister show Reaper.
Paul Maguire responded thusly:

With the writers’ strike still in full swing, Supernatural is due to hit its Subnatural end of completed episodes on February 21, 2008. While the show is not canceled, it goes on hiatus, while The CW plays around for the benefit of other shows’ ratings.
Here is what they have completed, and when the episodes will air in the next four weeks:

Tomorrow night, The CW an “encore presentation” of Episode Red Sky at Morning.
Next week, on Thursday January 31, Supernatural airs its first new episode of the year, 3.09, alternatively titled Witch Hunt on several sites and Malleus Maleficarum in a couple places on The CW website.
